A conversation between Dhritarāshtra & Krishnā

in palindrome அடிகள் சாவா ரைவது நாவாலே மாலே வாணா துவரைவாசா தேவா நோதியோ வறமதோ மறவ யோதி நோவாதே

காவார் தீயரை மாயாதோ யாமா ரைய தீர்வாகா ஏவா னோர்யது தீயாழி விழியா தீதுயர் நோவாயே

•    Dhritarāshtra says he is worried about Draupadi’s deadly vow.
• But he is actually worried Krishna’s involvement will make it too ‘unfair’ for his sons.
•  Krishnā assures him he will not use his Sudarshana Chakrā.

•  But not before he says if those who fail to protect (dharma), don’t end evil men, then evil won’t end and that is no solution.

As the Chakrā is concomitant with the imagery of Dharmā itself - it is implied that Krishnāassures that he can at best keep his Sudarshana Chakra in abeyance, but the Wheel of Dharmā will run its course.


 

 

சாவார்	ஐ வது	நாவாலே	மாலே	வாணா	துவரை	வாசா
They will die	The bride of five	By her tongue	O Vishnu	O Lord of the Skies	Dwārakā	One who Resides
O Vishnu, O Lord of the Heavens, one who dwells in Dwārakā, they (the Kauravās) will die because of the violent vow of Draupadi

 

தேவா	நோதியோ	அறம் அதோ	மற	வயோதி	நோவாதே
Immortal	Will you hurt	Is that Dharmā?	Kshatriya	Old man	Do not hurt
Thou art immortal, will you cause hurt (us mere mortals)? is that Dharmā? Do not hurt this old warrior

 

காவார்	தீயரை	மாயாது	ஓயா	மாரைய	தீர்வாகா
Those who do not protect	Evil men	Without killing	Will not stop	Maharaja	It will not solve
If those who do not protect, do not kill the evil men, this (adharmā) will not stop O King. This is not a solution.

 

ஏவான்	ஓர் யது	தீ ஆழி	விழியாதீ	துயர்	நோவாயே
Shall not wield	One Yadava	Fiery Chakra	O who cannot see	Sorrow	Don’t feel the pain
Do not dwell on sorrow painfully, O (King) who cannot see, this one Yadava will not wield his fiery Discus.
